Providing mental healthcare to meet your needs.

Connecting us with you.

1

What are you looking for?

During your introduction session, be completely honest and informative with your therapist. There is no need to rush through the session, but it is important to provide all the concerns you have so the therapist can start strategizing the best approach to incorporating a plan to help you feel better.

2

The Team Approach

VCC therapists work as a team. There will be meetings to share strategies and concepts that will best serve you. Names and identifiers will be removed. Your privacy will be maintained; however, the concerns will be reviewed, and a helping strategy will be formulated. Your therapist knows you the best and he or she will make the final decision, with you, to move forward with the mental resolution.

Counseling Barometers

You and your therapist will select certain aspects of the treatment plan to determine the progress of your therapy. VCC prides itself on helping folks feel better sooner than anticipated, but we don’t stop at that point. Our goal is to find a means to help eradicate the distraction in life that has brought you to counseling. When the life distraction is removed, you can decide to continue to enhance your life or be pleased with enjoying life without being concerned with the past distractions returning.

"It’s a scary thing trying to get mental health care, but VCC takes the anxiety and fear out of that concern. I was able to get personalized therapy that best fit my needs, instead of me having to adjust to the therapeutic style of the counselor."

FAQs

How much are the sessions?

Session cost will range from $40 - $80. Cost variation depends on several factors. Consultation fee is less per session since the actual counseling is not implemented. The counselor’s experience and degree will warrant a fee difference as well. Counselors that have been active a longer time have gained much more experience, you are paying for the experience and knowledge. However, counselors with less experience may contain newer knowledge within the mental health industry. Read the profiles and ask the counselor questions during a consultation visit. If the vibes are good, that is an indicator you have a nice fit. But is ok to request a different counselor or even seek a different organization.

Does The Virtual Counseling Center accept insurance?

VCC does not accept insurance. However, a request to your insurance company can be made for a reimbursement. Your health insurance might cover a small portion of the cost upon submitting a claim if you have a health plan that provides reimbursement for medical or mental health costs. If you do not have mental health coverage, you may be unable to do so. To discover your reimbursement options, contact your insurance provider directly. Use the 1-800 number on the back of your insurance card and ask them if they offer any reimbursement for licensed therapy sessions.

Can I pay for therapy over time?

VCC does accept a partial non-refundable payment to reserve a session time; however, the counseling fee is required to be paid in full 24-hours before the counseling session begins. Upon making your appointment, you will be asked if you want to pay in full or make a smaller payment to reserve your session.

Can an appointment be canceled?

Yes, VCC does recognize that life gets interrupted. Your appointment can be changed or canceled but must be done 24-hours before the scheduled session time.
